codai/hf_cache.py stopped putting TRANSFORMERS_CACHE in `<hf>/transformers` and pointed it at `<hf>/hub` like the other three, for a measured reason: transformers 4.x honours that variable as a HUB-layout cache rather than as a store of its own, so a directory beside the hub does not give transformers its own corner -- it gives the machine two hub caches, and which one a process reads depends on the transformers version in its venv. On 2026-10-28 `<hf>/hub` held 122 models and `<hf>/transformers` held 2, and a worker forced offline reported We couldn't connect to https://huggingface.co for a model that was sitting in the other directory all along. codai/ocr_fleet_workers.py carries its own inline copy of that environment -- deliberately, because importing the package into the supervisor costs exactly what the supervisor exists to save -- and the copy was not updated, so every OCR fleet worker was still being handed the second cache. The test that covers it had been failing since, along with two more that the same change left asserting the old path; those are stale assertions and are corrected here.
